In 1993 Cockeril planned to build 30 locs MJ 501-530 for the Danish railways. Because of problems (the locs were not powerfull enough) DSB cancelled the order, so that only 16 locs of this series were built, the numbers 501-507, 509-514, 515-518. They were built in the years of 1993 until 2000. Of the locs five locs came to Luxemburg begin 2002. Other locs found their destiny in France and in Belgium as shunting locs in factories. One loc has been replaced by another in 2003, so the total number of locs in Luxemburg remained five.
