During 1990 and 1997 more lines were electrified, the north-line to Troisvierges, Wiltz and Diekirch. Because of this, between 1990 and 1992 the CFL ordered 21 new EMUs, consisting of 2 coaches. They were of the same type as the French SNCF series Z211.500.
This stock can be seen all over the country of Luxemburg. As new stoch has been built recently, plans exist to take all of them out of service in a few years.
