In the autumn of 2003 the CFL placed an order to buy 12 electric mutiple units. The units consist of 3 parts, and are double deck. They are numbered in the series 2200. The motor coaches are the same as the French TER 2N ng. All three of the coaches are motor driven. In this order, the CFL does follow a large order of the SNCF, who order in the same year 629 items. The French items will be placed in the region of Lorraine.
The first order consisted of 12 units. The first was delivered in april 2004, the last was be deliverd in 2006. A second order consisted of 11 units, delivered in 2009 and 2010. They run in cooperation with the same sets of SNCF in the relation Luxemburg - Nancy (but also in interior Luxemburg service).
