In 2018 the CFL ordered at the factory of Alstom a series of electrical multiple units. The order consists of 22 three-part EMUs, and 12 six-part EMUs. The date of delivery has several times been overruled, because of the Covid-pandemic and because of changing specifications made by CFL. The plans are now that they will be delivered from the end of the year 2022 on until 2024.
The three-part trains consist of two double stock carriages and one single stock carriage. Two boogies do have motors.
