In 2018 the CFL ordered at the factory of Alstom a series of electrical multiple units. The order consists of 22 three-part EMUs, and 12 six-part EMUs. The date of delivery has several times been overruled, because of the Covid-pandemic and because of changing specifications made by CFL. The plans are now that the six-part EMUs will be delivered from the end of the year 2024 on until 2025.
The six-part trains consist of four double stock carriages and two single stock carriages. Four boogies do have motors.
